Monopotassium phosphate, MKP, (also potassium dihydrogenphosphate, KDP, or monobasic
potassium phosphate), KH2PO4, is a soluble salt of potassium and the dihydrogen phosphate
ion. It is a source of phosphorus and potassium as well as a buffering agent.
